Claude's 20% boost is back, and this time we're celebrating Opus 5.5

Claude users, rejoice: Anthropic has increased Claude's five-hour usage limits by 20% for Pro, Max, and Team subscribers. The company is also giving subscribers a rate-limit reset to use on a rainy day.

The extra headroom comes alongside Claude Opus 5.5. According to Anthropic, Opus 5.5 can deliver performance on par with Fable 5.1 on most tasks while costing about 40% less than Opus 5.

Arguably, the most frustrating thing about using Claude is hitting the usage limits. Somehow, it always seems to happen when you are right in the midst of a flow state, forcing you to leave your project unfinished for the next five hours or spend money on tokens. While a 20% increase won't eliminate that ceiling altogether, it should make it noticeably harder to hit during ordinary work.
