Ayo Edebiri Proves That the Couture Feather Trend Is Here To Stay

The actress wore a Chanel couture look to the London Film Festival screening of "Clarissa" on Monday.

Ayo Edebiri flocked with the best of them in her Chanel couture look at the London Film Festival screening of her new film “Clarissa” on Monday night at Vue West End.

The Emmy Award-winning “The Bear” star revived the couture feather trend, sporting a design from Matthieu Blazy’s spring 2026 couture collection for Chanel that debuted January 2026. The look featured a sleeveless cream blouse with a feathery hemline that transitioned from the soft white tone to black in a tiered effect. A black pencil skirt balanced out the texture-heavy top of the dress.

Edebiri accessorized with a pair of dangle earrings in crimson and jade and wore a set of strappy black heels. The actress was styled by Danielle Goldberg.

The spring 2026 collection marked Blazy’s debut couture curation for Chanel since joining the French luxury fashion house as its creative director in April 2025, following his appointment to the role in December 2024. “I wanted something light, poetic and easily understood,” Blazy said in a preview, per Joelle Diderich’s WWD review of the collection. “Making something light also allows me to dial down the drama.”

The collection included feathers and feather-like motifs — “raw threads created the illusion of peacock feathers on a flapper-style dress,” Diderich wrote of the collection, which included “pigeon gray petals” among other details.

Edebiri’s feathery look harkens back to July, where fall couture collections debuted and stars sported a bevy of plumed looks.
