Juiced Bikes has been one of the leaders in the long-range, durable ebikes category. Its bikes often stretch the definition of an ebike, even consistently landing in the electric moped category with motors that exceed the 750 watts typically allowed in the US for ebikes.
In 2024, Juiced Bikes declared bankruptcy, with its assets being auctioned off. After several months of uncertainty, the buyer emerged as Phoenix, Arizona-based Lectric eBikes in early 2025.
This year, Juiced Bikes is back with a revamped version of the Juiced Scrambler. It’s an electric motorcycle-style ebike that’s popular with teens across the US. It comes from the factory with a single mechanical gear and an electric motor that absolutely cranks out the power with impressive amounts of torque.
Out of the box, the Scrambler is set up as a Class 2 ebike, with the motor power limited to 750 watts and the motor assist speed capped at 20 mph. You can still go faster than 20 miles per hour, but the motor won’t provide any assistance if you’re going faster. Those limits check the box on the legal paperwork — though, the Scrambler was clearly designed to far exceed those numbers.
The real power of the bike is hidden in the advanced settings where a special race mode can be unlocked that’s almost certainly the objective for any teen looking to pick up one of these. Even when you do leave it with the factory settings like we did, it’s really not ergonomically designed to pedal.
