Chinese solar module manufacturer JinkoSolar has unveiled a 510 W all-black residential solar panel based on its newly introduced TOPCon-based Amorphous-Si Passivating Cell (TAC) technology, which combines TOPCon electron-selective contacts, amorphous silicon heterojunction passivation and a back-contact electrode architecture.
The JKM485–510T series targets premium residential applications, including villas and homes with limited rooftop space, where power density, aesthetics and long-term reliability are key considerations.
The company said the 48-cell Tiger Neo 5.0 module has a maximum power conversion efficiency of 25.52% and a monofacial, dual-glass design. It measures 1,762 mm × 1,134 mm × 30 mm, weighs 22 kg and offers a maximum power density of approximately 255 W/m².
JinkoSolar said it has integrated several technologies to increase module power density and improve aesthetics. Its Gapless Cell Array (GCA) technology eliminates conventional gaps between cells, while concealed interconnections and busbars reduce inactive areas. According to the company, the design increases the effective light-receiving area by approximately 2%, resulting in an additional 10 W of module output.
The module also features Uniform Matrix Interconnection (UMI) technology, which replaces conventional printed main busbars with distributed electrical connections. JinkoSolar said the architecture shortens current paths, reduces resistive losses and enables interconnection processes that place less mechanical stress on the cells.
For improved aesthetics, the manufacturer has incorporated its All Consistent Color (ACC) technology, which combines precise control of coating thickness and refractive index with AI-assisted cell sorting. The process is designed to minimize visible color variations between cells, encapsulation materials and the frame, resulting in a more uniform black appearance.
