German engineering startup Morreon GmbH is developing an AI-based operating system designed to accelerate the planning and execution of complex energy infrastructure projects. The platform, called Anchor, combines document processing, engineering design, cost management, tendering, and project scheduling in a single environment.
The company targets battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, electric truck charging infrastructure, and data centers, where fragmented documentation, repeated design changes, and coordination between engineering disciplines can significantly extend development timelines.
The first stage of the platform focuses on converting unstructured project information into a standardized engineering brief. Anchor processes inputs including PDFs, CAD files, spreadsheets, emails, site documentation, and meeting transcripts. The system classifies information according to its reliability and scope before organizing it within a version-controlled data structure tailored to the relevant infrastructure asset.
“Every extracted value carries full traceability, complete with a confidence level and a direct citation back to the source passage,” said Morreon CEO and founder Alex Zwilling told pv magazine, noting that, rather than automatically resolving conflicting inputs, the system flags contradictions for human review. Missing information is converted into prioritized questions assigned to the relevant engineering disciplines.
“To ensure absolute engineering integrity, the system never silently overwrites data; instead, contradictions trigger intelligent proposals for human review, and knowledge gaps transform into prioritized, discipline-tagged questions,” Zwilling explained, adding that engineers must explicitly approve assumptions before they become part of the verified project dataset. According to the company, this creates a consistent information base that can be reused throughout subsequent planning stages.
