X for iPhone and iPad just added over a dozen new app icon options

Since X was called Twitter, the iPhone and iPad app has supported changing the default app icon to something with a bit more flair. Today’s app update overhauls the alternative icon set with more than a dozen new options.

These are the first new icons to really arrive since X was renamed a few years ago.

The alt icon set was originally part of Twitter Blue, now called X Premium, which gives subscribers access to the icon choices. Twitter Blue briefly included seasonal icons.

Eventually, the Twitter logo was replaced with the X symbol, a few space options were thrown in, and the default became the black icon.

Today’s app update replaces the existing icons with all-new options, including more ground-level space options and more.

The new options are found within the X app on iPhone and iPad under Settings > Subscription > App Icons. Which is your favorite?
