watchOS 27.2 gets new RC ahead of next week’s launch

Apple has just released a second RC (release candidate) build of watchOS 27.2 for testing. Here are the details.

New RC for watchOS 27.2 arrives for developers and public beta testers

Next week, Apple is launching its wave of 27.2 software updates—likely early in the week.

iOS 27.2 is the biggest highlight, but there are new features also coming to tvOS 27.2 , iPadOS 27.2 , and more.

While watchOS 27.2 doesn’t offer as many changes, it seems Apple decided the software wasn’t quite ready to ship yet. After debuting the watchOS 27.2 RC earlier this week , a new RC build has just arrived.

If you’re running the developer or public beta, the new RC is build 24S118 . The first RC was build 24S5101f.

It’s unknown what exactly has changed in the latest RC. Likely Apple discovered some new bugs it wanted to address before shipping the software to the public.

Have you installed the new watchOS 27.2 RC? Notice anything new? Let us know in the comments.
