tvOS 27.2 just launched for Apple TV 4K, here’s what’s new

Apple has just released tvOS 27.2 for Apple TV 4K users, here’s what’s new in the latest software update.

Apple TV 4K benefits from a few new and improved features in tvOS 27.2, with even bigger changes around the corner.

Profiles: User profiles in the TV app expand to iPhone and iPad for the first time in iOS 27.2, making them more useful on tvOS than before too. Alongside this expansion, Apple has added a variety of new characters to the profile selection screen. Your profile can now use characters from The Snoopy Show, Frog & Toad, and Stillwater.

Screen savers: If you ever wish you could experience more of Apple TV’s great screen savers, now you can. tvOS 27.2 adds a new “Shuffle” option when choosing your screen saver category, it automatically cycles through Aerials, Memories & Slideshows, Portraits, and Snoopy screen savers. Additionally, there are new controls to customize which content from your Photos library is used in the Portraits and Memories & Slideshows screen saver categories.

Sign language: tvOS 27.2 now supports ASL (American Sign Language) and BSL (British Sign Language) with select movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app. You can toggle these languages on from the Settings app or player controls.

Apple Music rebrand: Apple Music just got a new look, and tvOS 27.2 includes a new app icon for the Music app as well as other minor design updates to align with the rebrand.
