Solana (SOL) Sees Record Tokenized Equity Growth in September 2026

September 2026 marked significant growth for Solana (SOL), hosting over half of the year's tokenized equity volume and reaching new records in stablecoin supply.

September 2026 proved to be a milestone month for the Solana (SOL) blockchain, with notable growth across tokenized stocks, stablecoins, payments, and decentralized finance (DeFi). Solana hosted over 50% of all tokenized equity volume in 2026, according to the Solana Foundation, with more than 1 million cumulative tokenized-stock holder wallets reached by September 23.

Tokenized equity supply on Solana surged to $684 million by the end of September, representing a 47% increase in just three weeks, based on Solana Foundation's data. The month also recorded approximately $4.4 billion in tokenized-stock trading volume, driven by activity on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) such as Raydium. Regulatory developments played a significant role, as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) issued a five-year conditional exemption on September 17, allowing blockchain-based trading of tokenized U.S. equities under specific conditions.

Stablecoins also reached new milestones on Solana. Total stablecoin supply hit a record $17.51 billion, with significant developments such as the launch of Open USD (OUSD) and the integration of stablecoins into banking platforms like Column. Payments infrastructure expanded globally, demonstrated by stablecoin proofs of concept conducted by South Korea's Jeonbuk and Shinhan banks, highlighting use cases across currency conversion and overseas payouts.

15 billion in September. Institutional-grade offerings included tokenized stock yield vaults on Kraken and Kamino's auto-loan-backed fixed-rate loans, which originated $10 million in their first 72 hours.
