Fireblocks says stablecoin payment liquidity is the bottleneck

Fireblocks launched Liquidity Market for stablecoin payments, citing $300 billion monthly volume and 110% year-over-year payments growth on its platform.

Fireblocks has launched Liquidity Market as it argues the main constraint in stablecoin payments is not transfer speed but access to executable liquidity. In a post published Oct. 15, 2026, the company said payment firms increasingly need to compare and execute quotes across multiple OTC desks at once as stablecoin rails move value instantly, around the clock and across borders.

Fireblocks said more than $300 billion in stablecoin volume moved across its platform each month on average over the past year. It also said payments is its fastest-growing segment, up 110% year over year. Those figures describe activity on Fireblocks’ own infrastructure, not the broader stablecoin market, and they do not by themselves establish market-wide OTC liquidity conditions.

The company described current liquidity sourcing as a manual process in which payment companies and trading firms request quotes from a small number of OTC desks through Telegram, email or individual portals, then track credit lines, balances and live prices separately. Fireblocks said that approach becomes harder to scale as firms expand into new markets and need different providers for different corridors.

According to the post, Liquidity Market lets users request quotes from multiple OTC desks at once, compare them side by side and execute against the best price inside Fireblocks. The workflow is built to show credit, balances, limits, margin and trading history in one place, while tying each execution back to its quote and desk.
