CryptoKeyhole’s Oct. 1–30 data show active ETH stake growing while withdrawals exceeded deposits by about 111,000 ETH.
Ethereum staking grew on one measure during Oct. 1–30 even as more ETH was paid out through exits and requested withdrawals than arrived in deposits. Active stake counts validators securing the network; deposits and payments record movements across the staking boundary.
CryptoKeyhole, an analytics provider that runs Ethereum nodes, reports 1,400,947 ETH deposited from Oct. 1 through Oct. 30 and 1,511,710 ETH paid out in its principal-withdrawn category. That leaves a net outflow of 110,763 ETH. Across the same closed-day window, active validators' effective stake rose from 35.82% to 36.09% of ETH supply.
The distinction matters for investors reading a higher staked share as evidence of fresh demand or tightening liquid supply. More ETH can count toward securing Ethereum while the wider pool of ETH held on its consensus layer gets smaller.
The comparison uses CryptoKeyhole's daily staking-share series and supply data for the 30 complete UTC days from Oct. 1 through Oct. 30, measured from Sept. 30 close to Oct. 30 close.
Active stake is the effective balance of validators participating in consensus: the amount that counts toward their network weight. The broader consensus-layer measure also includes queued deposits, validators waiting to activate or be paid after exiting, and balances above the effective amount.
Multiplying the provider's published daily shares by its corresponding supply figures gives the following approximate balances:
These approximate balances are calculated from CryptoKeyhole's series and rounded to whole ETH.
