Conflux (CFX) said its v3.1.1 testnet upgrade fixes node panics, memory use issues and RPC bugs, and recommends operators update.
Conflux (CFX) has announced a v3.1.1 testnet upgrade on Oct. 22, 2026, saying the release is aimed at fixing several node stability and RPC issues that could affect operators. The forum post says the update addresses possible node panics, excessive memory usage, a concurrent trace-query deadlock and other bugs, while recommending that node operators upgrade.
In the announcement published on Oct. 22, 2026, Conflux said the v3.1.1-testnet release fixes several possible node panics and excessive memory usage, a possible execution deadlock during concurrent trace queries, incorrect peer reputation updates during simultaneous connections and missing block-body checks during catch-up synchronization. It also says the update corrects eth_createAccessList returning empty or incorrect access lists and fixes a panic when tracing the genesis block.
The release note says Linux builds are being upgraded to OpenSSL 3.5.9 and that dependencies are being updated to address security issues. Conflux also instructed operators with running nodes to suspend the node, replace the executable named “conflux” in the run directory with the v3.1.1-testnet executable, and restart the node. For new nodes, the post says users can download and run the latest v3.1.1-testnet version.
The announcement does not specify a testnet activation time or say when all nodes must complete the update. It says only that upgrading nodes to the latest version is recommended and that the release is designed to resolve issues that could potentially cause crashes and excessive memory usage.
