Celo Core Co. Launches buy Marketplace for Autonomous Agent Payments

Celo Core Co. has launched buy, a services marketplace enabling AI agents to autonomously pay for over 700 services using stablecoins USDC, USD₮, and USA₮ on the Celo network.

Celo Core Co. announced the launch of buy, a services marketplace designed to enable AI agents to autonomously purchase services using stablecoins, according to an October 13, 2026 blog post by the organization. The marketplace offers more than 700 services spanning compute, data, and APIs, with agents able to pay directly in USDC, USD₮, or USA₮ without human intervention for account creation or API key management.

The announcement states that agents operating on Celo can now "ask for a service, receive a price quote, and pay for it directly from its own wallet, all without a human creating an account, copying an API key, or keeping a subscription current." Launch partners include Chainstack, Cencori, and SQD, according to the post.

The buy marketplace operates on Celo, an Ethereum Layer 2 network. Celo Core Co. is the unified engineering and ecosystem organization supporting Celo, formed through the July 2026 alignment of the Celo Foundation and cLabs into one operating structure while maintaining community governance of the network itself. The organization's September 16, 2026 newsletter reported 450,000-plus daily active users on Celo and identified Anchorage Digital Bank as the issuer of USA₮, which deployed to Celo on July 29, 2026. That update also noted that all three stablecoins—USDC, USD₮, and USA₮—support native fee payment on Celo, eliminating the need for a separate gas token.
