Cambodia exposes Legend Innovation, operator of its largest telecom fraud base, with links to Prince Group

PANews reported on September 23, citing Caixin, that Cambodia has for the first time revealed the internal situation of the telecom fraud base "Park 8." This "scam city" is Cambodia's largest telecom fraud base, capable of housing up to 20,000 workers who were trafficked and forced to engage in online fraud, and is operated by the Cambodian company Legend Innovation.

An investigation by blockchain analytics firm Elliptic found that the operator has ties to Prince Group. Legend Innovation is alleged to be connected to Prince Group, which is sanctioned by the US and UK, through company phone numbers, director activities, and related business records. Among them, the phone number registered for Legend Innovation previously appeared in the records of a real estate company alleged to belong to the Prince Group network. At one point, a physical Huione Pay store was set up inside the park for people to exchange cryptocurrency and cash, while Huione Logistics is alleged to have provided freight services between Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and the park.
