Bitcoin ETFs lose $643 million in a day, wiping out the week’s inflows

Five funds recorded withdrawals on October 30, with no inflows elsewhere to cushion the reversal.

US spot Bitcoin ETFs (exchange-traded funds) recorded $643 million in net outflows on Friday, October 30, according to Farside Investors. The withdrawals erased four consecutive sessions of inflows and pushed the October 26–30 week into a net outflow.

The funds had attracted a combined $440.8 million in net inflows from Monday through Thursday. Friday’s reversal left the completed week with $202.4 million in net outflows, turning an apparent recovery in the ETF channel into a weekly withdrawal.

Withdrawals extended across five of the 12 funds in Farside’s table. The other seven reported zero net flows, and none recorded an inflow to offset the redemptions. IBIT and FBTC were the two largest contributors to the day’s negative total.

The renewed withdrawals follow the October 22 pullback covered by CryptoSlate the previous week.

These figures track one route into Bitcoin exposure: exchange-traded products that investors can hold through brokerage accounts without buying or storing the cryptocurrency themselves.

The SEC permitted in-kind creations and redemptions for Bitcoin and Ether exchange-traded products in July 2025. That allows authorized participants to exchange assets rather than relying solely on cash transactions.
