Adani Group’s flagship business Adani Enterprises and US-based manufacturing company Jabil Inc have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a 50:50 joint venture for manufacturing and assembling AI and data centre equipment in India.
The proposed partnership aims to produce AI racks, servers, storage, networking equipment, and power and cooling systems to cater to India’s rapidly growing data centre capacity. It targets the expanding domestic market as well as international exports.
“At Adani, our vision is to expand up the AI value chain evolving from powering and hosting AI infrastructure to engineering and manufacturing the critical systems that will define the next generation of computing. Our proposed joint venture with Jabil marks a strategic step towards this future, combining Jabil’s world-class engineering and manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s integrated strengths in energy, infrastructure and data centres to help build the physical backbone of the global AI economy,” said Adani Group chairman Gautam Adani.
With this MoU, the earlier agreement between Adani and Jabil has now taken a more concrete form, although its realisation remains subject to regulatory approvals and the execution of definitive agreements.
Indian conglomerate Adani Group has partnered with US-based manufacturing company Jabil Inc to build vertically-integrated AI and data centre infrastructure in India.
The two companies intend to set up multi-gigawatt manufacturing capacity in India for high-density AI racks. They will produce AI-ready hardware such as liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage units, and networking systems to serve the needs of global hyperscalers and enterprise data centers.
