RAMageddon sucks folks. Over the past few weeks I’ve been using the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, a phone I’ve been pretty enthralled by, but its price tag really killed the hype on this one.
The Oppo Find X10 Pro Max is €1,799. You’re not reading that wrong. This non-foldable, MediaTek-powered Android flagship costs just a little bit less than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (€1,999).
It’s not really Oppo’s fault, and it’s not like the company is alone in this struggle. A comparable Galaxy S26 Ultra in Europe isn’t much cheaper at €1,769, and Xiaomi is also rumored to be running into wildly high prices for its next launch in Europe too. This is just the current state of the tech industry as a whole, largely thanks to AI companies.
But the reactions to Oppo’s pricing have not been quiet, and not just for the European model. Some users on Reddit mention how Oppo’s price matches the latest iPhone 18 Pro Max, how pricing in some regions is disproportionately high, and how you can still get the Find X9 Ultra for less. And I’m right there in that same train of thought.
As mentioned in our review, you’ll be happy with the Find X10 Pro Max. It performs well, has great cameras, and killer battery life, but this price tag really stings in a market where prices are already exceptionally high.
Mirroring that last example, I’d happily go for the Find X9 Ultra , especially if I could get it for less.
