SAVE $100: As of Oct. 6, the Kindle Colorsoft is on sale for $189.99 at Amazon. That's a 34% discount on the list price.

Prime Day is finally here, and deals on Amazon devices are definitely stealing the show. You can find discounts on Fire TV Sticks, Echo speakers, and if you need a boost to help you through your reading list, Kindles are also on sale.

As of Oct. 6, Amazon's color edition, the Kindle Colorsoft, is down to $189.99. According to the listing, this is a $100 discount. However, price tracker camelcamelcamel notes that the list price jumped to $289.99 in recent weeks (this can happen near sales events), so the true discount is more likely around $60.

This is still a strong price, especially for a color display e-reader. This means that book covers and illustrations appear in color, and you can use different highlight colors when marking up your favorite quotes in books. There's also an adjustable front light, including warmer amber tones, so you can make the screen easier on your eyes, whether you're reading outside during the day or cozied up at night.
