The First Two ‘Dune’ Movies Are Coming Back to IMAX

December 18 brings two mega sequels to theaters at the same time, and that means it’s time to get ready. Disney already re-released Avengers: Endgame in theaters before Avengers: Doomsday, and now Warner Bros. is teaming up with IMAX to give fans a chance to see Dune and Dune: Part Two in theaters again before Dune: Part Three.

Starting November 13, Denis Villeneuve’s first two Dune films will return to IMAX for one week only, and tickets go on sale Friday, October 30. In terms of concrete information beyond that, IMAX has yet to release all the details, but AMC Theaters is already teasing that you can see both movies on a single double-feature ticket. Which would be awesome.

Villeneuve shot IMAX sequences for both Dune and Dune: Part Two, which don’t really land as well when watching them on HBO Max. So, if you have the time in November, this is certainly the ideal way to refresh your memory of everything Dune before Part Three. Keep an eye on IMAX’s website for more information.

Governments can make it harder to get around internet restrictions, but eliminating the workarounds is another matter entirely.

The latest trailer for Denis Villeneuve's final 'Dune' film, starring Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya, is here.

Denis Villeneuve's 'epic conclusion' to the 'Dune' series is coming to theaters December 18.
