The Best Anti-Prime Day Deals for Amazon Haters

Everyone is talking about Amazon’s October Prime Day. Good deals or not—maybe you don't want to shop at Amazon for whatever reason. Plenty of other stores, big and small, are hosting sales alongside Amazon this week. Everything below is hand-tested by WIRED, and doesn’t have to be purchased on Amazon. You do you.

Apple AirPods 3 for $179 at Best Buy: If you want the best wireless earbuds for iPhone, you want the AirPods Pro 3. They have great noise cancellation and even built-in heart rate sensing and live translation.

AirPods Max 2 for $429: These are on sale for just $30 more than their lowest price ever at both Walmart and Best Buy. The AirPods Max 2 are still pricey, with less battery life and software features than we'd like. But there's no denying that they're stylish, and the sound quality isn't bad either.

This new Kindle is being price-matched at Best Buy. It has an impressive 11-inch color display and can double as a digital notebook thanks to the included stylus.

It's a few years old, but we've never seen the Sonos Beam Gen 2 drop to prices this low. These have been personally tested by our own audio expert, Harry Rabinowitz, who has complimented its excellent sound quality and compact footprint.
