This wearables industry has become increasingly saturated with smart rings and wrist-based fitness trackers, so any company that wants to compete in the space has to get creative. Enter Alloop, a modular, AI-native health wearable announced on Wednesday.
According to a press release, Alloop can be worn in three ways. The company calls this the Trio.
As part of the Trio, there are four pieces of hardware. There’s a wristband, a ring, the Cube — a compact sensor system that collects your health data — and Halo, which offers tap-to-speak, light, color patterns and haptic feedback to communicate reminders, device information, your wellness status and more.
You can wear the wristband with both the Cube and Halo for extra feedback and to log with your voice; the wristband with just the Cube for a lighter, more discreet wrist-based design; or snap the Cube into the ring for the most compact version of the wearable, ideal for sleep.
The Cube’s sensors measure resting heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen, breathing rate and temperature. You can also log your meals and supplements using photos, voice or text. Collectively, this allows Alloop to provide a sleep score and information about nutrition, activity, strain, recovery and health trends.
Compatible with iOS and Android, the Alloop app’s health dashboard brings key data into a unified view.
There’s also Bio Age, which uses 18 measurements across six health categories, including nutrition, bodily signals and lifestyle, to determine your biological age and show the factors contributing to it.
