Embattled Man City comes into this fixture at the top of the standings against a hungry Liverpool.
The weekend’s choice English Premier League clash sees a shaken Manchester City take to the field for the first time since being found guilty of breaking financial rules, as Enzo Maresca’s squad travels to Anfield to face Liverpool.
City learned of the seismic guilty verdicts on the majority of the Premier League’s 115 charges against it during the international break. The Sky Blues will be steeling themselves for a hostile reception today on Merseyside, with Liverpool arguably the club most affected by the rule-breaking, having lost the Premier League title by just two points to City in the 2013-14 season.
While City awaits the outcome of its appeal, it’s back to footballing matters as it looks to maintain its lead at the top of the standings, with Liverpool looking to reduce the six-point gap between it and its visitors.
Liverpool takes on Manchester City on Sunday, Oct. 11, at Anfield, with kickoff set for 4:30 p.m. BST. That makes it an 11:30 a.m. ET or 8:30 a.m. PT start in the US and Canada, and a 2:30 a.m. AEDT kickoff in Australia on Monday morning.
Sunday’s match at Anfield will be shown on linear TV on NBC and streamed on Peacock. To stream the game live, you’ll need a Peacock Premium or Premium Plus subscription.
Peacock offers two Premium plans, and after recent price increases, the ad-supported Premium plan costs $13 a month, and the ad-free Premium Plus plan costs $20 a month.
