Oppo has increased the prices of two of its smartphones in India, making the K14 Plus and Reno 16 more expensive. The price hikes come amid wider increases in smartphone prices across India, with rising memory and component costs cited as contributing factors.
While the K14 Plus has become costlier by up to ₹5,000, the Reno 16 has seen increases of up to ₹12,000 compared with its original launch prices. Buyers can compare the revised prices with other smartphones in the same segments before deciding which model to purchase.
The Oppo K14 Plus was launched in India on September 29 as part of the company’s mid-range smartphone lineup. Following the latest revision, the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is now priced at ₹32,999, up from ₹29,999.
The 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model now costs ₹36,999, compared with its earlier price of ₹32,999. Meanwhile, the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant have increased from ₹35,999 to ₹40,999.
This means the three configurations have become more expensive by ₹3,000, ₹4,000 and ₹5,000, respectively. The phone is available through Oppo’s online store in Solar Orange and Star White colour options.
The Oppo Reno 16 has also received a price revision across its storage variants. The 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model now costs ₹72,999, compared with its previously listed price of ₹66,999, according to tipster Sanju Choudhary.
The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant has increased from ₹72,999 to ₹79,999. The two configurations are now ₹11,000 and ₹12,000 more expensive than their original launch prices of ₹61,999 and ₹67,999, respectively.
