Oppo has announced that its ColorOS 17 software will be unveiled globally on October 13, with the India rollout scheduled for the same day. The new software is based on Android 17 and was first unveiled in September.
Confirming the release in posts on X, Oppo India described ColorOS 17 as ‘silky smooth’ and teased an AI feature called Mind Suggest. The company said the feature is designed to anticipate what users need before they ask for it.
"No stutter, no delay - just Silky Smooth ColorOS 17. Once you experience real fluidity, there’s no going back. ColorOS 17 will be unveiled globally on October 13, 2026," it wrote.

Oppo’s upcoming Find X10 series will be the first smartphone lineup from the company in India to come with ColorOS 17 pre-installed. In a press release, the company announced that the latest flagship will make their global debut on October 21 in Mallorca, Spain. It is yet to be seen if the brand will announce a separate launch event for India at a later date.
The new series is designed to deliver a ‘Hasselblad True-to-Life Camera’ experience, combining advanced camera hardware with OPPO’s next-generation LUMO True Image Engine to enhance image quality and capture more realistic photos.
Alongside the software announcement, Oppo India has teased the arrival of the Enco X4 true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds and the Oppo Pad Mini tablet.
