My Favorite Tool in the Great Mosquito Conflict Is Only $23 Today, a New Lowest for Prime Day

This won't save you from being bitten, but it will make the bites better at a great price.

This simple little phone-operated tool from Heat It is the most effective tool for eliminating post-bite itch I have ever used, and thanks to Prime Big Deal Days it’s 23% off.

While I am one of the fortunate who wander through life largely unbothered by the dreaded mosquito, my life is filled with people who need to take precautions before leaving the house or else end up covered in bug bites.

That means I have a house filled with things that promise to both prevent mosquitoes from approaching you and deal with the discomfort of the bite after the former has inevitably failed. I’ve got special bandages, little plastic tubes that create a bit of suction over the bite, soothing gels and I’m sure several other things. Exactly one thing in that list has ever consistently delivered relief to my loved ones, and it’s on sale for Prime Day.

Heat It is a pretty simple piece of tech. You plug it in to the USB-C port on your phone (Lightning port versions exist for those with slightly older phones) and install the included app.

The app instructs you on how to place the metal contact plate at the end of the dongle on the bite, and then instructs you to press the big friendly button on the app when you’re ready. Pressing the button starts a countdown for how long a small amount of heat will be applied to the bite from the dongle.
