James Gunn Already Has Another Movie In the Works

It seems work never stops, particularly when you’re named James Gunn.

On Sunday, a Threads user asked him if he’s got something lined up after finishing Man of Tomorrow. Gunn said he was “already in it,” since he needs something to keep him occupied while waiting for Tomorrow’s now finished assembly cut.

Before the weekend, news broke that both James Gunn and his DC Films co-head Peter Safran would remain at Warner Bros. For the superhero-minded, DC’s future has been called into question. Separately from Paramount’s acquisition, news from DC’s side of things has largely been about Supergirl underperforming at the box office and several previously announced slate projects being shelved or scrapped. Other than Gunn’s own Man of Tomorrow, which is due next year, DC’s output is Clayface in two weeks and Creature Commandos’ second season in 2027. (And maybe a second season of Lanterns?)

Notably, Gunn doesn’t say whether or not it’s another DC movie. Assuming it is, let us know in the comments below what you think that next project is. Could be as simple as a third Superman movie, or maybe it’s something out there like a solo vehicle for Rick Flag Sr., everyone’s favorite character. Make your guesses!

Thermoelectric generators probably won’t eliminate the charger for your Apple Watch, but for smaller, screenless wearables, the heat constantly escaping from your skin could fundamentally change how we power our devices.
