Google Health 5.12 rolling out with manual blood pressure & pregnancy logging, more

Following a sizable release last month, Google Health is rolling out another big update with version 5.12.

Google Health 5.12 on Android and iOS will let you “log your blood pressure readings manually or sync your readings from another app via Apple Health or Health Connect.”

To manually log a new reading, tap on the +Log sign in the Today tab and select Blood pressure. Alternatively, you can log your blood pressure by chatting with your Google Health Coach (for Premium subscribers).

Go to the Health tab > Heart to see blood pressure graphs.

This release also introduces a “new glucose visualization that overlays logged and tracked events (exercise, sleep, nutrition) on the graph.”

You can also log events directly from the graph. Check this out in the Metabolic Health section of the Health Tab.

Then there’s pregnancy logging and tracking “directly through your Cycle Health settings or by chatting with your Google Health Coach (for Premium subscribers).”

When you do, your standard cycle predictions and period notifications are automatically paused, and your cycle tracking page transforms to display your current weeks of pregnancy. For Premium subscribers, logging pregnancy will also personalize coach conversations and feed card insights.

1 Personal Health Records stored with Google may not be comprehensive or accurate. Always consult your doctor for medical advice or for an official copy of your health records for clinical or government purposes.

2 Requires Google Health Premium subscription (sold separately), Google Health app, and internet connection. Features subject to change; availability varies.
