2026 has been so very busy in the tech world, and not just during Techtember and Techtober. As the year comes to a close, it’s time to announce Gizmodo’s Best Tech of 2026 Awards. We reviewed a truly unbelievable number of gadgets this year, constantly pushing ourselves to find and try the most exciting new tech on the market. And now we get to share with you all the products that really made an impression on us.
Every winner here—across dozens of categories—is a product Gizmodo’s Consumer Tech team has reviewed or tested extensively. You can trust that we really believe in each of these. We wouldn’t just hand out awards to anyone.
We’ll likely have a few more winners to announce in the coming weeks, because we’ll still be reviewing new gadgets after this list is published. The grind never does stop.
Don’t agree with something on our list? Keep an eye out for our Readers’ Choice Awards soon, where you’ll have the opportunity to vote on your own picks for the best gadgets of the year.
And thank you—yes, you!—for reading Gizmodo’s consumer tech coverage this year. We hope you’ll come back for more next year, too.
Sure, most of the focus on Apple’s iPhones this year has been on its high-tier models, but that doesn’t mean the Cupertino company can’t still make an amazing budget phone.
