Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra leak shows another side, confirming minimal changes

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra showed up in a leak in August, but a new one has surfaced as the October launch date gets closer. The most recent images further confirm little about the design will change.

The last leak image we saw of the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra confirmed the new tablet will carry on Samsung’s recent camera notch design change. It takes on a teardrop shape, minimizing its scree footprint. That, along with the S Pen changed with the release of the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.

In comparing leaks with new ones courtesy of Evan Blass on Twitter/X, it still seems like nothing on the outside is being altered. The new leak provides side and rear views – something the previous leak left out. But it only further confirms the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will carry on the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra’s build design.

That even goes for the S Pen charging location, which docks to the top right, when the Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is in its landscape orientation.

That carry over from last year isn’t a bad thing, and tablets have sort of stagnated for some time. That’s part of the reason foldables have become so popular in recent years.

But Samsung has stuck to this design philosophy for some time. It might be nice to see some change that improves on bezels, or battery life. Of course, this leak only shows off what’s on the outside.

The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is expected to launch on October 7.
