If you've read any of my Cricut reviews on Tom's Guide, then you wouldn't be surprised to find that I enjoy making stickers. From designing to cutting and sticking to any available surface, creating Cricut stickers has become one of my pastimes in the last two years.
When the die-cutting brand approached me with a secret briefing on a new range of products, I was rather intrigued. What more could the craft-focused brand do? My first thought was anything BUT a sticker-exclusive device. I had envisioned perhaps an even smaller die-cutter than the Cricut Joy 2, or maybe a new suite of tools, but I was more than happy to be wrong.
Upon first unveiling, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the StickerPix Print + Cut was an entry-level Cricut device that keeps the essence of the brand alive and well, all while appealing to a beginner-friendly market. In the grand scheme, by using thermal dye-sublimation technology and a precise-cut blade, the StickerPix takes a popular Cricut hobby — a.k.a. making DIY stickers — and puts it into a slightly more affordable, yet exclusive package.
In fact, the StickerPix comes in two packages — the Print model and the Print + Cut model. The glaring difference between the two? The standalone Print model uses pre-cut sticker sheets, whereas the Print + Cut can trim its own sheets. For transparency's sake, I opted for the Print + Cut for this review solely for the additional cutting factor.
After reviewing the newest flagship, the Cricut Maker 5, last month, among the other Cricuts I've tried in the past, I was well-placed to try the StickerPix Print + Cut.
