Casio G-Shock GMC-2500 series launched with 5 new models: Features, price and availability

Casio has introduced five new watches under its G-Shock GMC-2500 series, adding new colour options and metal and resin strap variants to its lineup. The watches feature an analogue display, a stopwatch and 200-metre water resistance.

Casio unveiled the five new models on October 22, with sales in Japan set to begin in November. The watches are priced between 37,400 yen (around ₹22,600) and 49,500 yen (around ₹30,000). According to a report by The Economic Times, Casio has also announced the launch of the G-Shock 2500 series in India, as confirmed by its Japan-based parent company, Casio Computer Co. Ltd.

Alongside the GMC-2500 series, Casio has also introduced four models under the GAC-2500 series. The lineup includes the GAC-2500-1A in black, GAC-2500-3A in green, GAC-2500-7A in white and GAC-2500-9A in yellow.

The GMC-2500 series includes two models with stainless-steel bracelets and three with resin bands. The GMC-2500D-1A features a black dial, while the GMC-2500D-1A2 comes with a blue dial. Both models have stainless-steel cases and bracelets.

The resin-band variants include the GMC-2500-1A with a black dial, the GMC-2500-1A8 with a silver dial and the GMC-2500G-9A, which features a gold finish and a gold ion-plated bezel.

The watches take design cues from the DW-5000C, the original G-Shock launched in 1983. However, the new models use a rounded case design and an analogue display.

9mm and feature mineral glass, an amber LED light with afterglow and water resistance of up to 200 metres. Their accuracy is rated at ±15 seconds per month.
