The pick of Wednesday's UCL matches sees the Bundesliga champs host the Premier League title holders.
After yesterday’s thrilling heavyweight clash between PSG and Barcelona, there’s another clash of Europe’s big guns to look forward to today in the Champions League. Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will host Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.
Bayern dropped points last week in the UCL after being held to a 3-3 draw against Norwegian champions Viking, a match that saw key man Michael Olise sent off, ruling the former Crystal Palace man out of this crucial fixture through suspension. Vincent Kompany’s squad bounced back from that disappointing result in some style, however, at the weekend with a 6-1 hammering of RB Leipzig.
The Gunners’ Champions League gameweek 2 fixture meanwhile saw them ease past Lyon 3-0, with the North Londoners following up that victory with a more workmanlike 0-1 win over Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League on Sunday.
Bayern Munich takes on Arsenal on Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Allianz Arena in Munich, with kickoff set for 9 p.m. CEST local time in Germany. That makes it an 8 p.m. BST start in the UK and a 3 p.m. ET or 12 p.m. PT kickoff in the US and Canada. For soccer fans Down Under, it’s a 6 a.m. AEDT start in Australia on Thursday morning.
