Amazons Kindle Scribe Colorsoft drops to its best-ever price during Prime Big Deal Days — save $160

SAVE OVER $100: As of Oct. 6, the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft (64GB) is back to its lowest-ever price of $519.99 at Amazon. That's $160 off its full price of $679.99.

Today marks the first day of Amazon's 48-hour Prime Big Deal Days sale, and it's already full of exciting discounts, including the retailer's own devices. Among the wide variety on sale is the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft (64GB), which has returned to its lowest-ever price for a limited time.

As of Oct. 6, this Kindle model is priced at $519.99 on Amazon. Compared to its usual cost of $679.99, that means you get to keep $160 in your pocket. Plus, it looks like it's not exclusive to Prime members. So, if you're not signed up and just casually shopping around, this is a great time to grab it while it's still at its lowest price.

While it's on the pricier side of Kindle devices, Mashable's Samantha Mangino still had very high praise for the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, writing in her review that it's "an exceptional e-reader with strong writing capabilities." It features a slim design — 5.4mm and 400 grams — and an 11-inch glare-free Colorsoft display. Mangino's review also says it's "faster, brighter, and a lot of fun for writing, reading, and doodling."

It has quite a hefty battery life as well, offering up to eight weeks of reading power or up to two weeks if you're spending most of your time writing on it.
