AI will create new kinds of jobs: Angel One Group CEO

Artificial intelligence (AI) will usher in huge transformation and create new kinds of jobs that one cannot imagine now, said Ambarish Kenghe, Group CEO, Angel One.

During a fireside chat at Techsparks 2026 with Shradha Sharma, Founder & CEO, YourStory and The Bharat Project, Kenghe did not discount the impact of AI on jobs. However, he was optimistic that demand for knowledge work will go up, and this would require every individual to transform themselves.

He said as AI brings in more efficiency, resulting in higher usage, it could in turn lead to more number of jobs. That is because demand will go beyond what anybody can imagine today, he said. “More jobs will get created but we cannot imagine the kinds of demands that will be placed on human knowledge work,” Kenghe remarked.

On the use of AI in creating wealth, the group CEO of Angel One said the technology has solved for access to various channels that create wealth, but it is yet to solve for information and intelligence.

He believes AI can bridge the wealth divide by providing insights to investors on how they can deploy their capital by taking into account all risks. “If it (AI) is able to provide you with that information, I think it bridges that divide,” he remarked.

Kenghe said institutional investors have the advantages of capital, strategies, and human resources to generate wealth, and AI now has the potential to deliver similar capabilities to retail investors.

On leveraging technology to build products that are simple to use by consumers, he said building a simple product is a complicated process.
