AI Comedians Are Stealing Jokes on Instagram to Sell OnlyFans Subscriptions

OnlyFans and Fanvue models, many or all of whom may be AI, have apparently landed on a cheap way to market their subscription services. They take a working comic’s set, run it through an AI model, and put a different body on the stage in a new video they post to their own Instagram accounts. Comedians who recognize their own bits are angry about it. But Justine Moore, a partner on Andreessen Horowitz’s consumer AI team, saw one of the accounts and called the setup “a genius OnlyFans marketing hack.”

This AI comedian ("Tiffany Sloane") started posting 3 weeks ago and is blowing up – 360k followers and millions of views.

The account she was talking about is Tiffany Sloane, posted on Instagram as @tiffany.bbyx. The earliest post on the account is from September 11th. Moore said it was pulling in millions of views, and the account had about 375,000 followers and 124 posts as of October 5th. The clips look like the short, live stand-up content typically seen on the platform and even include a watermark with the Instagram handle.

The OnlyFans page tied to the account is linked from the Instagram highlights rather than included in the main bio, which refers to the account holder as an actress. Nothing on the Instagram bio says the sets are AI-generated or taken from real comedians.

OnlyFans’ own rules say AI content has to belong to a verified creator, has to clearly feature that creator, and has to be identifiable as AI, with the hashtag #ai given as the easy way to do it.
