Twitch is testing an AI coach for your streams

Twitch is testing an AI tool built to answer that. Stream Coach uses generative AI to analyze a creator’s livestream and deliver personalized feedback once the broadcast ends.

Only a small group of selected creators has access for now, so don’t go looking for it in your Creator Dashboard. Here’s what it does in the meantime.

This isn’t something you interact with mid-broadcast. It’s a post-stream review, and the concept is straightforward.

Once you wrap, Stream Coach analyzes the stream and provides feedback. It flags what worked based on when viewers were most engaged, notices patterns across multiple streams and suggests things to try next time.

When it rolls out more widely, it will likely live in the Creator Dashboard or arrive by email. If you’d rather not have AI reviewing your work, Twitch says the tool will be fully optional.

New streamers face a lot at once. You’re running the broadcast, reading chat and trying to understand an audience that barely exists yet. Stream Coach aims to take some of that guesswork off your plate.

There’s a business case too. Creators who understand what’s working tend to build stronger connections with viewers, and more engagement is good for Twitch’s numbers as well.

Retention may matter most. Streaming takes real time and effort, and it gets discouraging when you can’t tell whether you’re improving. Clear feedback makes progress visible, which gives creators a reason to keep going.

Stream Coach is a limited test for now. If Twitch expands it, post-stream AI feedback becomes one more tool for deciding what to change and what to leave alone before you go live again.
