Kaiser Permanente’s Risant Health has tapped Oklahoma’s largest nonprofit provider as the next to join its growing cadre of regional health systems.
Integris Health and the nonprofit value-based care platform announced Wednesday their signed definitive agreement, which is subject to regulatory review but could close in early 2027. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The deal would make Integris the third regional health system to join Risant, following Pennsylvania’s Geisinger Health and North Carolina’s Cone Health, both deals that closed in 2024.
The arrangement, the nonprofits said, will largely keep Integris’ operations and leadership intact while supplying external investment to fuel improvements in technology and care delivery.
“Together, Risant Health and its organizations are moving healthcare from siloed, episodic care to a value-based care approach with an increased focus on evidence-based care that achieves healthier outcomes for more people,” Kaiser Permanente Chair and CEO Greg Adams said in the announcement. “Integris Health’s expertise in complex clinical services, combined with its experiences in value-based care, offers an opportunity to continue improving health and affordability for the people of Oklahoma.”
Oklahoma City-based Integris employs 13,000 people and comprises 10 acute and 10 specialty hospitals, plus a collection of clinics and urgent care centers as well as the state’s largest physician network.
