Your first look at the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Pro batteries is here, sort of

TL;DR Batteries believed to belong to the Galaxy S27 Ultra and S27 Pro have appeared in South Korea’s Safety Korea certification database.

Earlier regulatory filings suggest the phones could feature 5,700mAh and 5,200mAh batteries, respectively.

The batteries are pre-production units, and Samsung has not yet confirmed the phones’ final specifications.

Is Samsung about to make a battery breakthrough with the Galaxy S27 series? We’ve heard rumors about everything from a massive 7,000mAh prototype for the Ultra to the possibility of silicon-carbon batteries . While the bigger battery dreams may not materialize, fresh certification photos have surfaced, giving us our first look at the batteries believed to be destined for the Galaxy S27 Ultra and its rumored Pro sibling.

Notebookcheck spotted two batteries linked to the upcoming phones in South Korea’s Safety Korea certification database. They’re identified by model numbers EB-BS958DBY and EB-BS957CBY, under certification numbers YU10899-26034 and YU10899-26036, respectively. Both are manufactured by China-based Zhuhai CosMX Power Jinwan Subsidiary.
