Xbox's Rumored Mythic Achievement Just Got a Symbol and Unlock Sound

Thanks to a new Xbox PC App update, the rumored Mythic Achievement may have just had its official artwork and unlock sound revealed. For those unaware, the Mythic Achievement is believed to be Xbox's upcoming equivalent to PlayStation's Platinum Trophy, which will unlock when players earn every other Achievement in a game.

Introduced in a July 2008 PS3 firmware update, the PlayStation Platinum Trophy made its debut with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Ever since, Xbox fans have been very vocal about their desire to see an equivalent on their platform of choice, one final reward that represents the effort it takes to 100% a game and its Achievement list. After almost two decades, it looks like Xbox fans might finally get their wish.

Fable survived years of Xbox upheaval that killed projects like Perfect Dark, and the reason says a lot about its place in Xbox’s future.

On September 23, Xbox-focused creator Klobrille shared a discovery on Twitter regarding the recently-rumored Xbox Mythic Achievement. Klobrille claimed that the latest update for the Xbox PC App has confirmed that the upcoming Platinum Trophy equivalent will in fact be called a Mythic Achievement, and claims that the new feature's official artwork and unlock sound have been uncovered as well. Klobrille's Twitter post features a 16-second video depicting the leaked Mythic Achievement logo and its accompanying audio effect.

While an Xbox equivalent of PlayStation's Platinum Trophy has been a very long time coming, news concerning the long-requested feature only started to gain significant traction at the start of August.
