Where to Find Reptile Hide and Make Reptile Leather in Enshrouded

To get Reptile Leather in Enshrouded, you'll need to place some Salt and Reptile Hide in a Tanning Rack, a crafting station that you can only unlock by rescuing the Hunter. Salt is pretty easy to get once you find a good harvesting spot, but getting Reptile Hide in Enshrouded is much trickier; these can be obtained by hunting Snapjaws, large animals that can be found in the mud and tar pits in the Blackmire region.

Plant Fiber runs out quickly in Enshrouded 1.0. Here’s how you can farm Plant Fiber to have a consistent supply.

Snapjaws are your main sources of Reptile Hides, but unlike the majority of other creatures in the game, these guys only appear in mud or tar pits in Blackmire. What makes Snapjaws tricky to find is the fact that they usually hang around underneath the surfaces of these pits, making them hard to spot from a distance.

One of the best (and probably most obvious) places to find Snapjaws is the aptly-named Snapjaw Tar Pits, which is roughly 150 meters west of the Blackmire Ancient Spire. The Daggers for the Bard quest will lead you straight to this location, assuming you've already rescued her.

Once you reach the Snapjaw Tar Pits, scan the surrounding mud and tar beds. If you spot bubbles on the surface of these pits, then it's very likely that there's a Snapjaw submerged in them . Hang around the banks of the pits or on an elevated platform, then a Snapjaw will eventually emerge and attack you.
