When Does The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered Release

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is easily one of the greatest RPGs of all time, with the upcoming remaster aiming to take the experience to an entirely new level. With better visuals, completely revamped combat mechanics, quality-of-life features, and numerous gameplay improvements, there's no better excuse to revisit the experience thanks to the free remaster.

While it was announced only a month ago during Gamescom Opening Night Live, we're only a few days away from the exciting re-release, and CD Projekt Red has even been kind enough to tell us exactly when the free update will go live for all players.

As announced on the official TheWitcher X account, the remaster will be released simultaneously for all regions and systems at 10:00 AM Coordinated Universal Time on September 29, which is one of the few releases where all regions will get access to the game on the same day, albeit at significantly different local times, which you can find detailed here:

While US fans will have to wait until the next day unless they don't mind staying up all night to play the experience, at least you won't have to worry about spoilers, considering the free remastered edition won't be adding any new story content, but simply works to significantly improve the overall gameplay experience.

On top of being offered as a free upgrade to pre-existing owners of The Witcher 3, CD Projekt Red is also offering newly expanded play-anywhere support for Xbox , letting console players swap over to PC to keep their story progress.
