Want To Smell Like a Werfwulf? This Perfume Has You Covered

Nothing says date night like the smell of "the heat of flesh that was once human." Robert Eggers' Werwulf hits movie theaters at Christmas, but you can pre-order an official perfume set based on the movie right now. Focus Features has teamed up with the very fancy Heretic Parfum for a set of three very specific fragrances.

Designed to represent each stage of a werewolf transformation, the descriptions of each of the scents are a wild ride.

The Wode Hath Teth: The scent of the feral woodland itself. Cold bark, frozen soil, and smoke in the air. Resinous. Mineral. Austere.

Werwulf: The transformation. Skin, damp earth, root, resin, and the suggestion of wet fur. Intimate. Warm. Primal.

Blodwode: The memory of what the forest has witnessed. Bleeding tree bark, leather, musk, and the heat of flesh that was once human. Animalic. Resinous. Untamed.

The set is limited edition, $55, and won't ship until at least November 6, but at least that's in time for Grandma's Christmas present. You can also grab each perfume individually for $125.

It's not the first movie collaboration Heretic has done. Nosferatu Eau de Macabre used notes of "wilting lilacs, velvety vegan ambergris and strikes of lightning" while one for the The Bride promised "Jasmine and rose stitched together as flesh. Cedarwood as bone. Frankincense as breath or spirit." The company is perhaps most notorious for creating the viral “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle with Gwyneth Paltrow in 2020.
