Vote now: The Mammoth Tank and Priest go head-to-head to determine the best RTS unit of all time

Our month-long RTS tournament is coming to an end. We started with a shortlist of 16 units, and now we're down to the final two—both of which were determined by your votes. This is what democracy is all about, folks! Determining what RTS unit has the right to call itself the greatest unit of all time.

It's been an emotional journey. Dreams shattered. Friendships ruined. Drug tests performed on a member of the clergy. But this is important, worthwhile work. But let's stop faffing around and get stuck in.

Well, it looks like my prediction from last week did not come to pass. A tragedy!

With the humble Peon failing to return from the dead, I was left with only one of my original picks in the running: the unstoppable Pride of Hiigara from Homeworld 2. As it turns out, it's actually quite stoppable. The indomitable Mammoth Tank from Red Alert gave it a beating, winning with 60% of the votes.

I will gracefully accept this defeat. I mean c'mon, the Mammoth Tank is a legend. Could it realistically destroy a mothership that can spit out a fleet of capital ships? Probably not! But this tournament is not determining which unit would win in a fight. "The best" can mean a lot of different things, and there's no denying the Mammoth Tank is awesome.

I do, however, take umbrage with the Priest defeating the Super Star Destroyer. 70% of the votes! This is madness. That wololo-ing thief has no honour.
