VisionQuest Season 1 is just around the corner, having been scheduled to premiere on October 14. The eight-episode series will stream exclusively on Disney Plus until mid-November 2026.
VisionQuest features Paul Bettany returning as Vision for the first time since the 2021 series WandaVision. Marvel is formally positioning the new show as the conclusion to the trilogy that started with WandaVision and continued with 2024 miniseries Agatha All Along. James Spader is back in the fold as well, reprising his role as Ultron, while Star Trek: Picard veteran Terry Matalas serves as showrunner.
Marvel Studios' latest series, Agatha All Along, is the least expensive series it has produced, and that's something the studio could learn from.
Although VisionQuest Season 1 consists of eight episodes, the official Disney Plus schedule spreads them across only five Wednesdays. Episodes 1 and 2 will arrive together on October 14, followed by Episodes 3 and 4 on October 21 and Episodes 5 and 6 on October 28. The series will then switch to one episode per week, with Episode 7 scheduled for November 4 and the finale following on November 11.
Based on the currently reported runtimes, the first three release days are going to be consistent in terms of viewing time. Episodes 1 and 2 total 98 minutes, while the October 21 and October 28 pairs each add up to exactly 100 minutes. In other words, all three double-episode drops amount to roughly a feature-length viewing session. While this kind of mixed release format is uncommon for Disney Plus series , it is not entirely unprecedented.
