Turok the Dinosaur Hunter Returns for Skybound Visions Imprint - NYCC 2026

Fans of the iconic dinosaur hunter Turok will be pleased to know the character is making a big comeback at Skybound in 2027. As announced at NYCC, the company is kicking off a new creator-focused imprint called Skybound Visions, one that launches with a Turok: Son of Stone comic and new additions to the Transformers and G.I. Joe franchises.

Skybound Visions is intended to offer standalone stories focused on creators reinventing popular characters in bold and unexpected ways. Case in point, Turok: Son of Stone reboots the character under The Buffalo Hunter Hunter writer Stephen Graham Jones and The Old Guard artist Leandro Fernández.

“Skybound Visions pairs beloved comic book characters with the most interesting comic book creators working today, to present their personal takes on these fan-favorites,” said Sean Mackiewicz, SVP, Skybound, in a statement. “Visions is all about surprising creators, surprising characters, and surprising storytelling, and we have plenty more in store for 2027 and beyond."

Read on to learn more about all three of the inaugural Skybound Visions titles and see early previews of each one.
