The Witcher Box Set Is At the Lowest Price We've Seen All Year

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale has arrived, dropping the paperback Witcher box set is down to its lowest price all year. You can grab the five-book collection for $39.99, down from $89.99, saving you 47% off of the sticker price. This collection goes on sale often, but now's a good time to pick it up if you've been wanting to jump into the book saga alongside The Witcher 3 Remastered.

The box set includes only the five mainline Witcher books, so you won't get the two short story collections; The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny (which are also currently on sale for Prime Big Deal Days). But as those are supplemental additions, you can still enjoy the main stories without having read them, but we highly recommend doing so. This collection also doesn't include the most recen release, Crossroads of Ravens, the latest book in the series that serves as a prequel. You can still find it on sale at Amazon for $15 (25% off) in paperpack, though.

IGN recently had the opportunity to interview Witcher author and creator Andrzej Sapkowski , where we chatted about future adaptations, new books, and where the franchise is headed. Sapkowski's short story collections are good introductions to the world of the Witcher, and the author is considering penning even more short stories, saying "[i]t is not an easy thing to create a good short story. This is much more difficult than writing a novel . yes, I am considering writing more short stories".
