The Witcher 3 PS5 Cintra Mod Expansion: All New Features

CD Projekt Red has just approved a massive fan-made Cintra expansion for The Witcher 3 Remastered on PS5.

Developed single-handedly by modder GerwantTOTW, this expansion takes us to the home kingdom of Ciri, where the capital city of the same name lies atop the ruins of an ancient elven civilization, Xin'trea. The mod features the capital, surrounding lands, and a local village, Hilden, with 5 hours of gameplay, 12 new quests, and even an economy overhaul.

You can finally bring the Killing Monsters trailer to life after 13 years.

"In Cintra, like anywhere else, people spin whatever yarns come to mind, especially after a few tankards of vile beer," the description reads. "One of those tales, mumbled by a dying hearth, is a legend... It all started with a simple job. A contract near Hilden. But on-site, after finding the tracks, things started to get complicated. I decided to play the hero again. Whispers of a gang called the Blue Rose are spreading through the villages. They're not fanatics praying to some forgotten saint, but a band of cutthroats who discovered that there's real power slumbering beneath the old legend. And me? As usual, I walked right into the middle of this swamp. Instead of a simple job, I got tangled up in a conspiracy reeking of greed, blood, and dark magic. I'll have to untangle it. My way."

The mod doesn't feature voice acting or any voice-over work, as the author opted for subtitles to tell the story instead of recruiting volunteers or, thankfully, relying on AI - all the more reason to support their work.
