The Ocarina Of Time Remake Doesn’t Do Everyone’s Favorite Bombchu-Bowling Baddie Justice

There’s one Ocarina of Time character who, more than any other, I’ve been looking forward to seeing in the new remake: The Bombchu Bowling Alley Operator. She is my hero, somehow managing to pull off the radical act of rest while that carnival funhouse song is blaring over her establishment’s speakers. And! She’s a stone-cold fucking baddie. The crop top! The blue pixie cut with the side bangs! Those douyin-style lips! Baddie all the way down. She even maintains peak cutie patootie status in her Ocarina 3DS incarnation.

She’s so damn iconic that folks were making it a point to find her during Nintendo’s recent hands-on preview event.

Seeing her in the Ocarina remake for hella commotion. It’s like seeing one your earliest crushes for the first time in decades. They’re older and not quite how you remember them but they’re still beautiful. I kinda like her updated style with new features that build up more of her character. Her black wrist cuffs and dark nail polish add a bit of goth flavoring, enhanced by the deeper pinks and purples on her new knit crop top. I can now believe that she’s a recreational demolitions expert.

Ladies and gentleman, we got em!

But I gotta say, her serve has diminished a bit from her original polygonal self. Developers had to do more with less in the old days, and her makeup and expressions in particular make her look so much more emotive in the original.
