The Elder Scrolls 6 Fans Don't Want The Next Game To Be All About The Scrolls

Apparently we’re only a month away from Bethesda finally revealing a little more about The Elder Scrolls 6. Unfortunately, it sounds like that reveal will be little more than a name fans already figured out themselves, and additional information about the game, its themes, and its potential location doesn’t have fans all that excited either.

According to The Verge, The Elder Scrolls 6 could get its official name reveal as soon as November, and it will be called Sentinel. Not only are fans bemoaning the fact that they’ve been made to wait eight years for that, but they already figured it out themselves after Asha Sharma teased the name earlier this year.

Although not expected to be a part of the name reveal, The Verge adds that it believes the events of The Elder Scrolls 6 will take place in Hammerfell. In addition to that, the game’s story will revolve around the history of the Elder Scrolls themselves and perhaps dive deeper into how they came to be.

Reactions online reveal that, for a lot of fans of the series, both those new pieces of information have gone down like a lead balloon. Although some might want their next new TES experience to take place in Hammerfell, others aren’t so enamored with the idea. Hammerfell was one of the frontrunners when it comes to theories about The Elder Scrolls 6’s potential backdrop, but many were hoping High Rock would be where the next game takes place.

While a game that potentially reveals more about the creation and existence of the scrolls after which the series is named might sound interesting to some, other fans remain skeptical.
