The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind remains one of Bethesda's most beloved RPGs, despite being more than 24 years old, and there's a new way to play it in the big 2026. Originally released in 2002, Morrowind helped establish many of the features that would eventually define the future Elder Scrolls games, while offering an experience that still feels distinct from Oblivion and Skyrim. Its unusual setting, relatively unforgiving gameplay, and emphasis on player freedom have helped it maintain a dedicated following, even as the series has moved on to bigger and more technologically advanced games.
